Sure you can look at your friend’s card, but have you ever wondered what everyone else was playing?  On the upper right of the homepage is now a table showing the top 10 most popular games  being played right now.  At the moment, only a few hundred people use the Ncard. As more people use the Ncard system the more accurate this data will be, but looking at the current list with NSMB Wii on top, I don’t expect the #1 position to change much.
