I don’t have homebrew and I don’t plan on getting. It there another way to auto update the Ncard without homebrew.
yay, already sent the email, just waiting for the reply.
i’m very excited \o/ w00000t
only way to automatically update is with home brew unfortunately
Actually, you can update your NCard from the Wii without the need to install anything other on it, with the Bannerbomb-Exploit (same Exploit that is used to install the HBC Channel). I just tested it, it works, and shouldn’t leave any traces (at least I couldn’t see anything in the Playlog/etc.). Usage is simple:
-Get Bannerbomb
-Place the “private”-Folder in the root of the SD
-Follow the Instructions where to place the NCard-Files
-Copy also the boot.dol from the NCard-Folder to the root of the SD
If you’re on 4.2, go to the SD-Channel Menu. It will ask you to load the .dol. Accept, and done.
If you’re on >4.1 go to Data Management –> Channels –> SD Card. It will ask you to load the .dol. Accept, and done.
But, there’s a chance that it will corrupt your private folder, make a backup of it first. Also, if a new update from Nintendo comes, this exploit probably won’t work anymore. Otherwise, it’s currently the only and easiest method for the people that don’t want to install anything.

Well, i’m sorry guys but hacking my wii runs it into a risk of it messing up. So, sorry but I’m not doing it.
perfectly understandable, you taking a risk when you modify your wii. it also voids your warranty. do not do it if you arent comfortable with it. You can always update the card from the internet channel like you always have.
