Adding the the sheer stupidity that is the GAF Netflix on Wii thread, this poster claims that 640×480 (the resolution of a DVD and all NTSC TVs for decades) is just not good enough for movies.

I’m by no means a Wii hater. I love Brawl and the only non-PC gaming systems I have are a DS Lite and a Wii. But I mean…would people really want to watch movies in 640×480 resolution? Even if they had component cables or whatever, that’s like watching a movie in a quarter of a computer monitor.
