The NPD results are out, people are talking about the health of the PS3 and fanboys are busy defending it like this insightful post from GAF:
skulpt:
The PS3 is amazingly priced considering what the 360 would cost to have the same setup.Look at the Pro 60gb @ $300 + BR drive + Wifi + Internal power supply
The $400 80gb PS3 doesn’t look bad at all. The problem is that some people don’t view BR and Wifi as being important at all. So spending $400 compared to $200 or $300 starts to look like too much. The sad part is consumers who plan to play online view the console as only $200 or $300. They some how ignore that they will actually most likely be spending $350 on that Pro console if they go online. Factoring that in (which no one does it seems), the $400 PS3 BR player with Wifi is a killer deal compared to a BR-less, Wifi-less $350 Pro that goes Online.
Remember folks, the INTERNAL POWER SUPPLY is a major selling point.
