Guide to Griefing Team Fortress 2 Achievement Servers

The addition of new achievements  in Team Fortress 2 open up fantastic new griefing opportunities.  There are entire achievement servers where people “fight” forever on tiny maps that run forever and can never be won. A server full of doctors going at each other with bone saws to get their bone saw achievement  can only be made better by the inclusion of a pyro or two setting all of them on fire.  This weekend is a free  to play weekend with the launch of new achievements for Pyros. Naturally, there are Pyro servers now begging for your attention. My favorites tactics:

1. Some servers allow you to play other classes. Make a sentry with an engineer in a central location and watch the kills rack up. A couple of engineers playing together can ruin an entire server.  Some servers will allow you to play engineer but ban sentry gun. These are no fun.

2. Always kill. Most Pyro achievements only  need you to set people on fire to get the achievement. People on achievement servers on the opposing team will let you set them on fire expecting you to let them set you on fire. Kill them. Repeatedly.

3. Several maps have capture points and intelligence that someone is supposed to pick up and then get killed with to give the opposing team a “killed guy with intelligence” achievement. You’re supposed to die. Fight back.  This is even better with a  friend playing heavy  or an engineer+sentry.
