It’s also been described as the Realdoll look (NSFW, Google at your own peril) in  Ninja Gaiden but it is most apparent in the  E3 2006 Heavy Rain trailer.  The uncanny valley , the phenomena where the more things look real the more they look fake (or disturbing). Back when the trailer came out,  Gamespot  had a write up titled  ”Depths of the Uncanny Valley” that’s far more interesting than the wikipedia article.Â
