The Wii Fit box clearly says that the maximum weight it can handle is 330 pounds. In a discussion titled “I can’t play Wii Fit because I’m too heavy” on NeoGAF, some people had difficulty understanding that:

Because maximum weight is NOT a clear statement. The assumptiong when you read it is that it only measures up to that weight, NOT that it resets under loads more than that weight.I have no issue with the software capping out at a maximuym level for tracking fitness, etc. But I promise you that the board can still function with more than 330 pounds on it, because I’ve tricked it into doing so numerous times. If it CAN still function, they why not allow folks over 330 to just play the fitness games, without being tracked?
In other news, elevators all around the world are not clearly labelled.
